The discovery followed days of intense efforts involving police, volunteers, and family members who had joined forces in hopes of finding the sisters alive.
Officials said there were no immediate signs of foul play, though investigators continue to treat the case with caution. Forensic teams are conducting a full examination, and autopsy results are pending to determine the precise cause of death. Police are also reviewing phone records and interviewing individuals who last saw the twins to piece together their final movements.
Known for their kindness and deep bond, Carolina and Luiza were described by teachers and classmates as bright, compassionate, and inseparable. Their sudden loss has sent shockwaves through the local community, leaving many struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.
A candlelight vigil is being organized to honor the twins’ memory and support their grieving family. Friends, neighbors, and classmates are expected to gather in prayer and remembrance, lighting candles and sharing stories that celebrate the sisters’ lives.
Authorities have urged anyone with information related to the case to come forward, emphasizing that every detail may be vital to understanding what happened.
As the investigation continues, the community remains united in grief — holding on to one shared hope: that truth and peace will bring closure to a family now forever changed.
